Privacy policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
This policy explains what Margin of Opinion collects when you visit marginofopinion.com or subscribe to our emails, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you subscribe to be told about new episodes.
- Basic email engagement data, such as whether an email was delivered, opened or clicked, collected by our newsletter provider.
- Where you came from, such as the page or campaign link that led you to subscribe, if your browser passes it along.
We do not ask for your name, payment details or anything about your finances, and this site does not run advertising trackers.
Why we use it
To send you new episodes and occasional updates about the show, to understand which content people find useful, and to keep our list free of spam and bounced addresses. If we ever offer paid subscriptions or sponsored content, we will tell you before using your email for anything new.
Who processes it
Our email list is hosted by beehiiv, which stores your address and sends our emails on our behalf. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
How long we keep it
For as long as you stay subscribed. When you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you and delete or anonymise your address within a reasonable period, except where we must keep a record of the unsubscribe so we don't contact you again.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU and UK GDPR and Brazil's LGPD), you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, and withdraw consent at any time. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. For anything else, write to hello@marginofopinion.com and we will reply within 30 days.
Not investment advice
Everything we publish is educational and entertainment content. Nothing on this site or in our emails is a recommendation to buy or sell any security.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell subscribers by email.
